Meet our new AFA Fellows

 MEET OUR NEW AMERICAN FREEDOM ALLIANCE FELLOWS

We are delighted and honored to announce our new American Freedom Alliance Fellows, each of whom is distinguished by his courage, integrity, and steadfast commitment to the preservation of the values, principles, and cultural heritage that sustain our nation and Western civilization generally.

Dr. Bradley Thayer

Dr. Bradley Thayer is a Founding Member of the Committee on the Present Danger: China and in that capacity has contributed to countless events including several AFA conferences.   Formerly, he was a Special Governmental Employee in the Department of Homeland Security where he contributed to the January 2021 report DHS Strategic Action Plan to Combat the Threat Posed by the People’s Republic of China.  He has been a Visiting Fellow at Magdalen College, University of Oxford, and Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Harvard University.  His research focuses on the existential threat to the U.S. from Marxism-Leninism and the Chinese Communist Party.

Dr. Thayer’s most recent book is Embracing Communist China: America’s Greatest Strategic Failure which he co-authored with James Fannell.

Dr. Thayer’s dedication to the study of Communism and to warning about it, as well as his expertise, analyses and eloquence on this threat to Western Civilization, contribute to our strength as we stand in defense of it.  For this reason, we are honored to welcome him into our Fellowship program.

 

Peter McIlvenna

Peter McIlvenna is the co-founder and host of Hearts of Oak, a UK-based podcast on topics related to Western Civilization, freedom of speech and other aligned issues. Mr. McIlvenna is a guest on many high-profile broadcasts, has been a sought-out commentator and international correspondent and is also a frequent speaker including at the American Freedom Alliance and the Council for National Policy. He has also been published in The Federalist and many other publications. 

Mr. McIlvenna was Nigel Farage’s UKIP party’s national campaign manager, a senior researcher for the UKIP group, and has been Chief of Staff to Lord Pearson of Rannoch in the House of Lords since 2015.

Mr. McIlvenna has been a determined advocate for free speech, freedom of religion, and the Judeo-Christian values, principles and morals on which Western Civilization is predicated, and we are enthusiastic about including him as an AFA Fellow,

 

Trevor Loudon

Trevor Loudon has been a Fellow of AFA for many years but we are taking the opportunity of our formalizing the Fellows program to acknowledge his exceptional contribution to the defense of this Constitutional Republic in the face of a range of totalitarian incursions and threats including the capture of many arenas of our civic and political life.

Mr. Loudon has researched radical left, Marxist and terrorist movements and their covert influence on mainstream politics for more than 30 years. His films, Enemies Within, and Enemies Within the Church, and his books, including The Enemies Within, White House Reds, and two-part Security Risk Senators, are vital resources. His most recent book is STEALTH: Kamala Harris’s Communist Roots.

Mr. Loudon is a much sought-after speaker and is known across the country for his expertise and creative strategizing.  He has been a frequent speaker at AFA conferences and Parresia podcasts, and is a frequent contributor to the Committee on the Present Danger: China’s webinars.

In addition, Mr. Loudon was the 2018 honoree of our American Freedom Award, and we are eager to re-affirm his status as an American Freedom Alliance Fellow.

 

Each of these three men brings vital experience, expertise, wisdom and clarity to the host of threats being wielded against us. We applaud their courage, integrity and professionalism and are delighted to welcome them as American Freedom Alliance Fellows.
