Spotlight: AFA Fellow Peter Mcilvenna
The American Freedom Alliance takes pride in the calibre of our Fellows. Selected for their courage in standing up for the values which AFA defends, they each have an unwavering commitment to promote the principles that have been the hallmarks of this nation since its inception. This month, we would like to highlight one of our latest Fellows, Peter Mcilvenna, as he is a newer face to the AFA community.
Background
Peter Mcilvenna has, as many of us do, a varied background. He studied aerospace engineering, holds a private pilot’s license, and is passionate about aircraft. A devout Christian, he served as a missionary in Bulgaria and spent ten years on staff at Kensington Temple He also spent five years with UKIP – the UK Independence Party of which Nigel Farage had been the leader – most recently has been in media as co-founder and host of Hearts of Oak, launched in February 2020 to promote free speech against cultural Marxism, to advance collaboration across the Atlantic, and to support Christian values.
Pivoting to podcasts during lockdowns, Heart of Oak, with Peter as host and producer, has released over 800 programs with 300 guests, reaching 1.3 million monthly views on its website, social media, Steve Bannon’s WarRoom, and DailyClout. As a public speaker, researcher, and connector, he is a strong advocate for Israel, pro-life issues and traditional family values, and speaks out in opposition to Islam, surveillance states and big pharma. He has guest-hosted Steve Bannon’s WarRoom twice, spoken at American Freedom Alliance and Council for National Policy conferences, and has been published in The Federalist, The Washington Times, The Gateway Pundit and the Daily Wire. In addition, Peter led the first civil prosecution of a grooming gang member.
Before we brought Peter on as a Fellow, we were proud to elect him early this year to our Board of Directors. His wisdom, perspective and steady hand have proven invaluable as we navigated 2025, and we feel will be equally so as we look to an ambitious 2026!

Early this past November Peter travelled from his home in the UK to Dallas (with Frank Gaffney and Debbie Georgatos) to meet with Texas legislators to address the growing Islamization of the US and particularly Texas. He also had numerous media slots including America Can we Talk with Debbie Georgatos, Sara Gonzales Unfiltered show on The Blaze, Grant Stinchfield’s Stinchfield Tonight on Real America’s Voice (RAV) and The Chris Salcedo Show.
On his return to the UK he wrote “Is Texas About to Fall to Islam? Lessons from Londonistan” in The Gateway Pundit (TGP) on 14th November.
The next day he opened the WarRoom to discuss this article. Later that same day he was on Cheryl Chumley’s Bold and Blunt Washington Times podcast
A few days later he again opened the WarRoom for a deeper discussion on Islam in Texas.
These clips ware reposted by accounts with over 10 million followers combined. @WallStreetApes alone reached 1.1 million views and publicly credited Peter’s work with forcing Texas Governor Greg Abbott to come out against Sharia courts and announce bans on the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR.
Subsequent articles include:
– 20th of November: The Gateway Pundit (TGP) published “While Republicans Fight Over Israel, Islam Establishes Itself in America.” This article made the case that a strong Israel is good for all of us, and that MAGA must recognize that the big issue facing the west is Islamization.
– December 1st: The Washington Times published “Shariah courts in America: We’re sleepwalking toward Britain’s outcome, or worse.”
– December 3rd: Peter joined Steve Bannon on the WarRoom to discuss the growing number of Sharia Courts in the US and how they function, a key element of Islam’s work towards supplanting the Constitution with an anti-Constitutional, anti-American ideological framework disguised as a justice system.
From there came a flood of articles and appearances contributing to his being identified by many as one of the key investigative reporters on the topic of Islam as a threat to the West::
· December 4th: Peter joined Glenn Beck to unpack the entirely of the threat of Islam to the American way of life.
· December 10th: Peter joined Frank Gaffney’s Securing America to discuss these articles and his findings on Islam.
· December 11th: The Gateway Pundit (TGP) published Peter’s latest article titled “First Texas and now Florida Lead Bans on Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR”
· December 13th: Peter joined Frank Gaffney’s The Victory Coalition report on the Muslim Brotherhood.
· December 14th: Peter again joined Frank Gaffney on his Securing America show discussing the Muslim Brotherhood.
During this time, Frank Gaffney led a massive team effort in support of the President’s intention to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. The BanTheBrotherhood.org website is an inaluable resource for this effort. The Choice: “Ban the Brotherhood” or Face “Civilizational Erasure” Here, the report generated by Frank and the Team B II+, is an absolute must-read for those committed to preventing this “Civilizational Erasure” in the face of the multi-faceted attacks by Sharia Supremacists on our nation.
Peter has continued to ensure that the work on this topic reach the widest possible audience; his Washington Times published his article Ban the Muslim Brotherhood, or witness the West’s demise – Washington Times and he continues to appear on countless podcasts.
